For 4-5 servings: 500 g split peas 4 potatoes, cubed 2 carrots, sliced 2 celery stalks, diced 1 parsnip, diced (optional) 2 onions, chopped fresh  lovage /parsley, finely chopped 1 tablespoon olive oil salt and pepper Wash the peas thoroughly. Put the peas in a soup-pan, add 3 liters water, cover and simmer on low heat (1-2 hours, depends on de peas type). Stir often to prevent sticking to the pan. When the peas are soft add the vegetables. Cook slowly till vegetables are tender than add salt and pepper to taste. Pentru 4 porții: 1 kg ciuperci 4 cepe mari 4 ardei grași 1/2 kg de roșii / o conservă de roșii în bulion 1 legătură pătrunjel 2-3 frunze de dafin 4 linguri de ulei sare, piper Se taie ceapa felii și se călește în ulei, până se înmoaie puțin. Se adaugă ardeii tăiați feliuțe, ciupercile și frunzele de dafin. Se lasă să fiarbă cam 5-6 minute după care se adaugă roșiile curățate de coajă si tăiate mărunt/conserva de roșii. Când mancarea a scăzut se potrivește de sare și piper și se adaugă pătrunjelul tăiat fin. Se poate servi împreuna cu mămăliguță sau cu salată asortată.
